Jilly's Such a Good Girl!

Wow, was Jilly ever good today, and we've only been up for 15 minutes! We woke up and all was quiet in the house. Odd. The night before, Jilly quieted down quickly but started whining and crying very loudly in the morning. I was a little worried she was dead. But when we went into the living room she jumped up and started wagging her tail, so we took her out and she went potty right away! And she pooped too. She didn't "go" in her pen at all last night. Jilly was served breakfast in her crate, she wasn't too thrilled about that, even though the door was still off. The food bowl was at the back of the crate and she would walk in, grab a piece of food and back out to eat it.

Jilly got even better as the morning went on. She had a check up with our vet this morning and she did great. Only shook a little and ran around on the floor while we waited. Everone at the vet's office said she was the cutest puppy they've ever seen. They loved the way she prances too. When we put her up on the table she shook again, but by the end of the visit she was laying down, licking the table, no longer shaking.

After that we took her to Jack's Aquarium and Pet Store to exchange one of her brushes and pick out a new toy for her. Once we got home I took her out back and she went potty. She only played a little once we got back inside and she is currently passed out on the couch, she's had a *very* busy day.

Last night we were signing the paperwork to refinance our house and the woman that brought the papers over if we asked if we had kids. She then said that raising our puppy would be like raising a kid. That was kind of hard to discuss, so I went and picked up Jilly and she sat on my lap at the table for a while. Then I put her back in her pen and she went right to sleep. The people at the vet's office said that they thought we looked like new parents with her. Jilly has been good for us though. I wish we would have gotten her under different circumstances, but so far everything is going really well, and getting her was the best decision for us.
